3-part class series addresses key components when considering a small farm operation: 1) Why Farm? look at trends and realities of being a small farmer, risks and rewards. 2) Researching Your Farm Idea. Conducting research and how to find out about licenses and registrations for your farm. 3) Assessing Your Physical and Financial Resources. Learn about the soil and water on your farm and assess other physical characteristics of your property. We will also discuss micro-financing opportunities for small farms.
