4-H in Jackson County
4-H offers diverse, fun, and hands-on programs to Jackson C
ounty youth in the fourth to twelfth grades. Programs range from art to natural science to technology. Animal Science projects continue to remain among the largest and most popular of these programs.
Through 4-H activities and club meetings, members learn skills that help them to become productive, healthy citizens. They learn leadership, a sense of responsibility, public speaking, meeting etiquette, and people skills.
Youth and adult volunteers can join 4-H starting in October of each year. For more information, call the Jackson County Extension Office at 776-7371 or go to http://extension.oregonstate.edu/sorec/4h
