Who We Are & What We Do
The Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District is many things to many people.
In response to many requests for information about who we are and what we do, we put together a PowerPoint slide presentation. While it is practically impossible to enumerate all the things we do and all the people we do them for, we've managed to cover the basics...and even have a little fun doing it.
We've converted the presentation into several formats. Unfortunately, the fancy and clever transitions in the original presentation are lost in the conversion process. You should choose which one suits you best:
- Flash: large (for people with larger computer displays and a highspeed Internet connection)
- Flash: small (for people with smaller computer displays and/or a dial-up Internet connection)
- PDF: a 13MB file for people who want to download a permanent copy (highspeed connection only, unless you're willing to tie up your Internet connection for a long time: 1-2 hours) We recommend that you right-click (Ctrl+Click on a Mac) the link and choose "Save Target As..." or the equivalent command for your browser.
With the two Flash slide show pages, there is a short delay while the slide show loads. After that, it proceeds automatically. Just sit back and watch.
However, if it's either too fast for you or not fast enough, you can take over control of the display. Note that on the Flash slide show pages there is a navigation control in the lower left corner that looks like this:
To pause the display, click the two vertical lines in the center of the control. To advance or rewind the slides one at a time, use the corresponding right and left arrow buttons, respectively.
And, if this is not clear, send us a note and we'll clarify it for you and change the page.
