Natural Resources Day Camp

Boy looks at pictures of macroinvertebrates

Every year in June we take a bus full of 4th-7th graders outside to explore natural resources with our Natural Resources Day Camp. The camp meets in Medford every morning for a week and loads 40 kids onto a bus that travels to outdoor learning sites throughout Jackson County. We explore forests and streams, farms and ranches, learning about the natural resources that we all depend on.

Campers are supported by group leaders who are typically youth volunteers; these youth volunteers also get to learn about local natural resources while expanding their leadership skills.

At the end of our week of adventure, JSWCD provides a free family BBQ to campers and their families. Every year offers a different adventure!
