OSU Extension in Lane County is putting on a workshop to support Oregon residents in replanting after fires. Specifically, this workshop will discuss considerations for planting trees after your property has experienced a fire. We will look at some reforestation practices, discuss vegetation management, dealing with overhead dead wood, and creating planting plans. Oregon Department of Forestry will be available to answer questions about forest practices laws and regulations, as well as other, partner organizations that provide resources for after fire recovery.

While the workshop will focus on fires that occurred in Lane County, the information will be relevant to recovery from fires in Jackson County as well.
