The annual Southern Oregon Regional Envirothon (SORE) will be taking place on Monday, April 8th.

SORE is a hands-on natural resource competition for high schoolers in Jackson County and Southern Oregon. SORE tests students' knowledge of aquatic ecology, forest ecology, soils and land use, wildlife ecology, and a rotating annual topic, this year renewable energy for a sustainable environment.

Students who compete in SORE may also go on to compete at the state Oregon Envirothon and international NCF-Envirothon.
