This year’s theme, The Archaeology of Fire & Water, is a great fit for exploring how people have understood, used, and cared for Jackson County’s landscapes over time.

Stop by the JSWCD booth to learn about the history of soil and water conservation districts, view historical maps and materials, and explore a poster showing historic wildfire burn scars across Jackson County. We’ll also share how our work continues today through no-cost consultations and resources for all local landowners.
