Markie Germer, Administrative Specialist

Person

Markie Germer serves as the communications hub that keeps the District running. When she’s not up front taking calls and keeping us organized, she’s behind the scenes, finding solutions and attending to the many details necessary to serving the public.

Markie was born in New York and moved to southern California while still in grade school. She attended High School in San Jose, and spent the first part of her career in California, working for companies like National Semi-Conductor, Schilling, and Intel Processors. When her husband of 39 years retired, they moved to Oregon, where Markie became the secretary for a plywood company in White City.

Markie has two grown daughters, two grandsons and a granddaughter. She has lived in the Rogue Valley for more than 30 years and has been serving the people of Jackson County with JSWCD since 2007. As our Administrative Specialist she is always ready to help the public find information, schedule meetings or classes in our conference rooms, or help with planning agreements and grant distribution.  She is also the person to call when registering for classes or workshops.
