Drought in Jackson County poses a challenge for people and the environment alike.

Medford Irrigation District and Rogue River Valley Irrigation District are working on a project to pipe the Joint System Canal. This project offers the potential to allow farmers to produce the same amount of crops with less water, conserve water to benefit the environment as well as people, and help improve water quality.
