Technical Assistance

JSWCD staff provide free technical advice to help Jackson County residents make informed decisions that will protect natural resources, while working towards their management goals. JSWCD can help with project design and implementation, as well as potentially securing funding to address resource concerns and opportunities.
Here are just a few ways we can help:
- Providing a one-on-one site visit to inventory a property to help better define management goals.
- Assist with a plan of action for: correcting erosion, increasing soil health, irrigating efficiently, creating or improving wildlife habitat, managing pastures, capturing & storing water, and much more.
- Help create a schedule and budget to get the job done. Some resource improvement projects may even be eligible for funding.
Jackson SWCD takes a landscape approach to resource planning, looking at the whole picture, to help find management opportunities that are good for the land manager or property owner, good for the land and water, and good for the citizens of Jackson County.
