JSWCD staff provide free technical advice in our areas of expertise to help Jackson County residents and other entities make informed decisions that will protect natural resources, while working towards their management goals.

Here are just a few ways we help:

  • Providing one-on-one site visits to help better define property management goals.
  • Assisting with plans of action for: correcting erosion, increasing soil health, irrigating efficiently, improving stormwater management, and managing pastures, among other topics.
  • Assisting with project design and planning.
  • Providing input on community natural resource management plans.

Jackson SWCD takes a landscape approach to resource planning, looking at the whole picture, to help find management opportunities that are good for the land manager or property owner, good for the land and water, and good for the citizens of Jackson County.
